Default Somerset Light Infantry 30th Battalion WWII

Hi, I am trying to find which regiment my late Uncle Ronald Norman Schroeder was in during WWII. His army number was 5671620 and I know he fought in North Africa and Italy and that's it! Can anyone help point me in the right direction to get this info, I have search on many sites with no luck. Many thanks

He's not in the CWGC database, so I assume that he survived the War? The extra info can help people stand out from the crowd. Is that him with a death certificate on 1975?. B abt 1919?

I'm sorry, yes he did survive the war and he was born in 1919 and died in 1975. A relative, who was in the army in recent years has asked me for information on our Uncle/Great Uncle and the above is all I have on his time in the army.

    Hi

You wont find much, if anything online.
His service number fits the group - Somerset Light Infantry 5662001 - 5718000, so that is right.
As for anything else you have to apply to MOD for his service records.
