Hi
On the London, England, Workhouse Admission and Discharge Records, 1764-1930 for Lilli Surelio There are two separate columns for the entry of names Male and Female. Lilli Sorelio is entered in the Male column so is not to be confused with the female name Lily. Also the first L in Lilli has a line running through it and seems to be quite twirly so may be another letter altogether such as a capital G with the lower loop written above the line.
Yes! Just found another workhouse record and the name is entered as Gilli Surelio.
Gilli Surelis (is an 'o' on the image)
Record Type = Discharge
Discharge Date 12 Jan 1901
Discharge Place - Holborn,London
Admitted from the parish of - Only the initial C written down. Age 41

Hi
So far I can't find any other records for Henry and Gilli other than the workhouse. They should at least be ib the 1901 census as they were in Hackney London in January. Unless they left the country.
The parish that Gilli was admitted from in 1901 with only the initial 'C' could be Camden.
Rissie mentions in a Glasgow poor house document that she “worked as a sewing maid with Surollis / Surollio in Good (Goodge) Street, London

You say "issie mentions in a Glasgow poor house document that she “worked as a sewing maid with Surollis / Surollio in Good (Goodge) Street, London."
Is there a date on this Glasgow Poor House document so we can work out when Issie may have worked with Gilli and Henry.

Hi,
I have been trying to contact you regarding this for a while but,for some reason,I couldn't get onto this site?.......
Rissie is my great aunt and I'm desperately trying to find out more about her life. She came back from Paris in February of 1914. I have records of her in a poorhouse hospital in Portsmouth where she was admitted for 3 days. I presume she had gotten sick on her way back from Paris and presume maybe her ship was docked in Portsmouth? Anyway, she then came home to Glasgow. I have parish relief records where she states that she was complaining of Pthisis (TB).In this document she had been living in Paris for the last 4 or 5 years. She obviously returned to London because I have another hospital record for a hospital in Chelsea workhouse. Could this be the 'C' that you're referring to? She does say in her parish records that she worked as a sewing maid. Can you shed any light on this? Who were Gilli and Henry Surollio? I will double check the documents I have for dates and get back to you.
Rissie returned to Paris after her marriage in London (guessing around 1909/1910).I know she worked in a factory in Paris.
I have hospital records and 3 parish relief entries for Rissie in Glasgow between 1914 and her death in 1917. She was very poorly towards the end of her life so I don't think she would have been able to go to London after 1916.
I'd love to hear if you have any more information on Rissie and I'd love to know the connection with Gilli and Henry.
Kind Regards,
LynneB
