Doreen, if you go to the LDS site FamilySearch HERE and search William Wilson, spouse = Jean Jack and country = Scotland, you will get 15 hits. Some of them are probably duplicates, it will tell you who you are looking for when you visit Scotlands People. The LDS do ask you to register, but it's free and not used for anything else.

This is, of course an index and if you want more info, you need to go to Scotlands People HERE. Again, you need to register, and then you can search the index for free but must buy credits to download copies of documents. There is an article about the site HERE Be aware that the amount of information included in Parish Records was up to the Minister. You might get a lot of info, you might just get the parents' names.

BMD certificates did not start in Scotland until 1855, before that, we have to rely on Church records including grave stones.

    Dear Lesley
thankyou for your help. Yes I was already registered with scotlands people.
did the search found childrens baptisms.
now trying to find the correct date of birth death of William Wilson and his parents.
acording to all the births including Margarets, William was a plasterer living in Rose Street.
    regards

If those people died before 1855, they will not have death certificates. There are only a few possibilities of finding their deaths:
If they left a testament or an inventory - these will be on Scotlands People.
If their burial was noted in the Parish Registers, also on Scotlands People. These notes tend to be more concerned with how much the grave diggers were paid, and supplied info is scrappy - knowing that you have the right William Wilson will not be easy.
Some places kept Lair books recording where people where buried, even if they didn't have a stone - their location can vary - I found the one for my One Place Study in the Archives of Scotland. Other places kept a record of who hired the parish shroud, again the locations vary.
If he had a gravestone (expensive, less than half did, and many have not survived), the inscription will be informative. The Scottish Genealogy Society sells books and CDs of memorial inscriptions and may be able to help.
The newspapers - either as a short family announcement or a report of the death was in any way unusual (eg accident, crime). Again, unless his family is mentioned, it'll be hard to be sure they are talking about the right guy. FMP have some papers, otherwise "Old British Newspapers" are the most likely. They allow newly registered people 3 free pages before payment become necessary.
