    Default Lazarus MARKS b 1893/1894 - WW1

    This man served as HARRY MARKS and so is "mis-filed" in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

    "Harry" MARKS joined the Loyal North Lancs in April 1912, declaring age 18y 5m, born Manchester.
    Regt. No. 1928.
    Taken POW in 1914, so did not return home until 1919. His POW card shows born 1893.
    Termination of engagement: 1920

    Home address: 11 Hyde Street, Liverpool (1912) & 21 Pine Street, Liverpool (1919).
    Parents: Alfred & Sarah.
    Brothers: Joseph & Charles.

    Arrested for shop-breaking in 1926 - this is where he is named as Lazarus, born 1894.
    Home address: 4 Blackburn Street, Liverpool.

    No suitable birth found for "Harry". 2 Prestwich births for "Lazarus" - 1893 & 1894.

    1893 Prestwich's father was Israel according to the 1901 census.
    1894 didn't come up on the 1901. The only other Lazarus, mother Sarah, 1874 was born London.
