    Default WWII records.

I run the risk of asking a stupid question, but im going to ask it anyhow. I have been looking for my grandfathers war records, and having put his full name in it came back with initials and a surname. Now I don't know his number or rank so how can I tell if this particular man is indeed my grandfather. Thanks for any help.

WW2 service records are not on line. They are held by the MOD. If you want a copy it will cost 30 and you will need a copy of the death certificate

The above link should give the details.
