I have the Q2 1875 birth certificate for Ernest Charles Hawkins. Mother's maiden name of Wright. The date of birth is noted as 2nd April 1875 and the time of 3.30 AM is noted. I thought that noting a time meant the child was a twin.
I can't find another birth (male or female) in Q2 1875 for Hawkins and can't find a death either.
So, does this suggest the 'twin' did not survive birth? What happens about registering a stillborn child or child that dies very soon after birth?
Thank you!

Henry Frederick Hawkins, mother's maiden name Wright, has the same registration details as Ernest, so he must obviously be the twin.
Death registration for Henry Frederick Hawkins, aged less than one year, December quarter 1875, Reigate registratin district.
Stilbirths were not registered until 1927.
And (in England and Wales) only parents, or a sibling if the parents are deceased, can apply for a copy of the registration.
