I’ve been trying to find my great grandfathers army record but I can only seem to find this one which is only a entry on a form with loads of other people but the transcript says he was in the Surrey regiment, I was wondering if anyone can help with any advice etc to get more info if there is any more than what I have found, also can anyone understand the handwriting.

I can't find that record, but it says relegated class z(?) Reserves.
Trans(ferred) from Leicester Regt.
Records for personnel who served after 1921 are still held by the Ministry of Defence. You will need to know Edward's date of birth, and send a copy of his death certificate along with the application forms and thirty quid. Details of how to apply can be found here.
