Need help deciphering record for Bernard LLOYD #1602796:
Do you think Discharge notation applies to LEWIS or LLOYD? (Note: Highlighting in attached scan is mine; ignore inclusion of DISC line as part of LLOYD record).
"Reposted to __?__" (scratched out? significant?)
A.E.C. = Army Education Corps?
HAA/S (scratched out? significant?) = Heavy Anti-Aircraft Supply? What is "9419B" following that?
Also have a separate newspaper article stating that Bernard joined the Coldstream Guards around 1940. Is that somehow part of this Royal Artillery Attestation?
Thanks for any help!! ~Carol

Hello Carol,
Welcome to British-Genealogy.
Haven't got a clue about the abbreviations, but having looked at the entry on FMP, in my opinion the discharge notation refers to Lewis because it's within the red lines of 'his' entry.

Have had a further thought.
HAA might be heavy armoured artillery, while LAA is light armoured artillery.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will be along within the next twenty-four hours, as opposed to the twenty-four minutes for my replies.

This site says that LAA is light anti aircraft and HAA is Heavy anti aircraft.
"Reposted to LAA."

Hi
"HAA/S (scratched out? significant?) = Heavy Anti-Aircraft Supply? What is "9419B" following that?"
S may mean searchlight, the bit after it is probably an army reference.
"joined the Coldstream Guards around 1940" - may have joined them first, then swapped to RA- getting his service papers would probably confirm?
