    Hi,
    I've been researching my Family history for quite a few years including trying to trace their military service - not always entirely successful.
    Hope I might learn some tricks/tips from the experts here.

    Welcome to British-Genealogy.

    You don't say which services or years you're searching for military history so I would suggest that you start by looking at the 'stickies' at the top of the various military forums we have. There's some in the 'Occupations' main forum and more in the 'Topics' one.
