    Default Any Old Hamnetts ?

I am looking for information on Charles Hamnett b 1804. I've come up againts a brick wall. It would help if my family had a bit of imagination. I am finding the same first names over and over again: Charles, William, Thomas
Any suggestions would be helpful Thanks Josie

Welcome to the British Genealogy Forum.
Where have you looked? Do you have any other info such as his wife’s name or his birthplace?
If he was born in 1804, unless he was very unlucky, he should have lived until the 1851 census, or at least the 1841.

Hi Christina , Thanks for your quick response. I do have the first Charles Hamnett at Bk St.Georges St. Here he is widowed and the father of William which is correct,I should have been a litte more clear, as what I'm really looking for is his father!
    Thanks

    Hi Christanel.
I did have Justinia Scholes Dearden as (my) Charles' mother , but I discarded her after sever dead ends.
Perhaps I should put her back
    Thanks

    Hi
I think that he was born in Manchester, married twice. Ist wife is my interest as she is the mother of William ( my family line) I have her name as Sarah Beckett.
It's really Williams' father James who I am stuck on . I have no information on him at all
    thanks

FS and lancs opc have a marriage of a Sarah Beckett and a Charles Hamlet , St Mary the Virgin Eccles, 15 Sep 1823. Witnesses Thomas Turner and John Beckett. Might be worth considering.
