Hi,
I have hit a brick wall researching my Wife's Grandmother Rose Watson. I know when but don't know where she was born and can't find any information. My Wife's family are no help as they had no contact with their nan.
What I have managed to pull together is as follows;
Rose Watson Born: 9th April 1910
Father:Alfred Watson. Born:12th May 1879
Mother: Eliza Rebecca Watson (don't have maiden name). Born: 14 October 1879
Sister: Mary Watson. Born: 18th June 1921
Spouse: Thomas John Slade. Born: 1904. Married: 1st July 1933
Address in 1939: 21 Grendon House, Hackney, London England
This information came from the 1939 Register of England & Wales.
I don't know where any of them were born and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in anticipation.
John

There’s a Rosie Watson ,April 9th 1910. Baptism May 10th 1910,St John Evangelist ,London.
Parents - Alfred & Bridget Watson,51 Everard St.
Then a marraige December 23rd 1923, of a Alfred Watson,43,widower & Eliza Rebecca Duxbury,42,spinster. Both of 25 Everard St.
Could this be Eliza Rebecca on 1939 register?
Haven’t found a marraige for Alfred & Bridget or a death for Bridget.
Image of baptism & marraige certs are on Ancestry.

In 1922 there is a death registered in Whitechapel of a Bridget Watson who was born n 1882. The dates and location would tie in with information found by Pamela in post#2.
Using that information I have located a family in the 1901 which fits. It shows Bridget with Alfred living with his family in Dartford. Piece 702 Folio 55 Page 62.
I can't find a record of their marriage either, but as according to the 1901 census she was born in Ireland, maybe they married there. Nor can I find them on the 1911 census.

Thank you Megan Roberts . This is a very useful a gives me a good steer. My wife suspected that Eliza wasn't Rose's birth mother.

Looking in the GRO, there is a Rosie Watson whose birth was registered in the June Quarter 1910 in St .George in the East Volume 01C Page 287, mothers maiden name HEFFRON. Searching in the GRO again, there is a Bridget HEFFRON (no mothers maiden name) whose birth was registered in the June Quarter 1898 in Woolwich Volume 01D Page 1261(see 1901 census entry mentioned in post #3 where Alfred and Bridget have a daughter Bridget born in 1898)

I also saw the links to Bridget Heffron and think it’s a good chance we’ve found the connection I still cannot see a marraige for Alfred & Bridget.

I thought maybe they had split before 1911 as there is another marriage for Bridget Heffron in Birkenhead 1903 to a Thomas Welsh. They had a dau Bridget in 1906. I have followed it through to 1911 but she, BH, is born, so it says but can't see it at the moment, in Birkenhead in 1867.
