    Default MURKETT, Willie/William b c1886 - WW1

Mis-filed as MARKETT in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363), this man gave his name as WILLIAM HENRY - I cannot find a birth, and suspect that he was christened WILLIE (Q2 1887 Epsom):

William Henry MURKETT enlisted with the RFA on 22 December 1914, declared age 28y 256d, born Cheam, Surrey.
He served as Regt. No. 55045, was transferred to the Labour Corps (607882) and was discharged in 1919.

Home address: Catford, London (1914); Lewisham (1919)
    Mother: Elizabeth

There is a photo of this man in a public tree on ancestry. There are also photos of his medals. They have him listed as William Henry (Willie) Murkett son of Charles Murkett and Elizabeth Maria Sinkins born 5 May 1887, Cheam. He died 20 March 1951 at Forest Hill, London.
