    I thought it was Walter James who was in the Norfolk Regiment?

    For info, G/1319 was wounded in 1917 and the town of Epsom was noted as his home (or possibly enlistment) town, so probably not him though, as you say.

    Found Edward Samuel - he's on the Surrey Recruitment Registers on FMP

    Service No 55429, 24th Training Reserve Batn
    Aged 36 Years 10 Months
    Butcher, born Bermondsey
    291 Lynton Rd Bermondsey SE
