    Default Personnel in support roles

Hi. My grandfather Eric Thornton was a reporter attached to Air Marshall Tedder in the Second World War. He didn’t speak about anything he did only said he reported back on bald of Tedder.
Please can anyone advise how I find out more about what he did.
    Thanks.

Welcome to the British Genealogy Forum.
There are articles by Eric Thornton in the Manchester Evening News. For example, the paper for Wed 3 Apr 1946 has one about the 28th anniversary of the RAF and is called The Camel Becomes a "Carpet" Layer. It's is the only one that turned up from a search on his name plus Tedder.
There's a lot by him in 1946 (found by searching on his name and "air correspondent") on civilian air developments. It''s possible that he wasn't named on reports during the war. There's lots under "Field Marshall Tedder" without a journalist's name.

I searched the British Newspaper Archive, a subscription site. Other sites also have newspapers.
