Default Looking for history for my great grandparents

I am taking a trip to Ireland for the very first time in August of 2019.
I've done some research through local archives in Ballymoney County Antrim that gave me information about my grandmother's location at birth and the names of family members.

I am interested in going back further to research my great grandparents.
    This is what I know:
    Great Grandfather: William John Baird
Great Grandmother: Margaret Dickie Baird They were married Parish of Ballymoney, county Antrim, 1st Presbyterian August 28, 1901
Margaret's father was Robert Dickie from Dunaverney

    Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums.

Oh I am green with envy - a trip to Ireland.

Do you have the marriage certificate for William John Baird and Margaret Dickie? If so it will give the names of both fathers and their occupations which will help sort them out from the crowd. Both names are not uncommon. The certificate will also give WJB and MD's ages which will also help in the search.
William and Margaret went to the US after their marriage in 1901? Where did they live in the US?

Sorry for all the questions but just trying to get a base from which to work.

    Hi Christina!
Thank you for your help and your questions!
As far as I can tell, WJB and MDB stayed in Ballymoney County Antrim in Northern Ireland after they were married. Only three of 7 children immigrated and one was my grandmother, Jane. She and two sisters immigrated to Canada in 1930 and 1935. My grandmother Jane died in childbirth in Toronto about 26 years of age My dad was three years old.

On the marriage certificate it says Margaret was 19 but it only says "of age" for William

There is no father's name for William on the marriage certificate.

Sorry I don't have any more details

    Hi Tracy
Thanks for answering my questions. Now those wishing to help will have more to work with.
Also i have moved this thread to the Antrim County forum from the Introduce Yourself forum so it will attract more attention.

More questions What are the names of Jane's sisters and also any other siblings you know of? But - only post their names if they have died. We are not allowed to post the names of living people.
