Though not until 16 February 2019, so if you get organised you can get still get the certificates at the current price.
As usual, Lost Cousins are hot off the press with the news.
https://www.lostcousins.com/newslett...sday18.htm#BMD
Please read the whole article, as the GRO will be introducing a £3.00 charge if the GRO reference isn't supplied. (Meaning the certificate will cost you £14.00)
Also, if a search if unsuccessful then there's a charge of £3.50.
Although I think I have almost all the certificates of my direct ancestors, I'll be doing some serious double-checking over the next six weeks.
Pam

According to Croydon Council Local Registrar Office charges will also be affected. Might be wise to check with your local office.

The biggest change is for certificates issued at the time of registration - currently £4 they are also going to be £11.
That will be a shock to those registering births, and especially deaths where multiple copies (often 10+) are often required.

A little bump as there's now only three weeks to go before the increase takes place.

Don't keep reminding me! I am now going into 'unavailable for the next fourteen hours' mode while I do some hasty family history.

You won't be the only one!
It'll be soup for lunch and dinner, if I even bother
I was intending to go shopping but that went out the door when I realised it was tomorrow and not Monday that the prices go up.
