I doubt that this couple is yours. The occupations and ages are wrong and Sarah's maiden surname was given as LAVENDER when her children's births were registered.

married either William Thompson or James Farrier
The other female on that page is Margaret RICHARDSON and there are FARRIER/RICHARDSON births registered in Newcastle with corresponding baptisms to James and Margaret, as well as census entries. I would say the probable 1883 THOMPSON/LAVENDER marriage is more likely to be yours.

    "William Henry Thompson 1858-1937 Newcastle
Married Sarah Thompson (maiden name unknown)"

Which of their children is your direct ancestor and do you have his/her birth certificate?

You can check out Mother's Maiden Name for Birth Cert. before you order them if you go to the General Records Office web site and regester you can then go to search page input the infomation etc you find on FreeBMD it will give you mothers maiden name if there is one. I'm not sure if you can still order a PDF copy but they cost £6.00

So.... after talking to another lady on ancestry regarding her tree, And some confusing census record pointed out by Katarzyna on this thread.

She gave me the following info:

Some of the Seager children had to take the last name of Lavender. According to the information that my husbands grandfather wrote, they were forced to use the last name of Lavender, even though they were not adopted formally by Lavender. Martha Sweatman had children by Lavender.
