Default The Whittington a transportship missing 1879

Hello - I would greatly appreciate some help with the following:

With the Wittington a member of crew, Charles Channing born in Marstrand, Sweden 1838, was lost at sea in 1879. He was the son of a Captain (in command) and British Vice Counsel in Marstrand, Robert Channing, born in England on December 6, 1785, whom I have posted a question about here earlier.

Charles moved to London in 1856 and then he seems to have been back to Sweden occationally, and he got married in Sweden 1875 but, as it seem he still worked for at least one British shipowner, Lancaster Shipowners Co. Ltd. - William Herron, Lancaster.

There is very little to be found regarding Charles Channing here in Sweden after 1856, which is why I turn to you for help. Maybe there are records regarding his work at sea, maybe he contacted his British family and had them registred as next of kin. Anything and everything is of worth.

    Best regards Karin Jorthé

He and his wife Frederika are on the Sweden, Selected Indexed Household Clerical Surveys, 1880-1893 on ancestry
As it is in Swedish I am not sure of some of the column headings on the original document. There is also quite a few lines of information next to their entry but again in Swedish so I have no idea what it says. Maybe purchase a few credits to access the record or ask your local library if ancestry have their free library version in Sweden. Or find out where the original records are kept in Sweden
    Sjoman? Charles Channing

Residence - Malmö Sankt Pauli, Malmöhus (Skåne), Sverige (Sweden)
Village, Farm, or Croft - Bror VII
    GID Number: 1312.1.16100

I see his death was indexed in Jan 1880. Once again I can't read the document and the writing is so cramped that I can't even make a guess at the words to use a translator online..

You probably have all this information but it may be useful to let others know what has been found so they don't waste time posting it.
