Are they going to allow your team to work on the 1901 soon?

    Hi Lesley
Many thanks for your response to my message. I have been asking about 1901 for a while but apparently there are no immediate plans to do 1901 as there is so much outstanding from 19th century census. I will ask again as i think it would be very useful to researchers but access to source material may be a problem.
    Thanks for your interest Bev

I answered Bev's request a couple of years ago (I think) with some trepidation. But I wanted to "give something back" for all the help that I have received during my years spent in research. So I I would give it a go.

But not only is the transcribing process challenging it is both satisfying and educational.

I am glad I took the plunge.

After the first couple of weeks when I would spend hours trying to get a batch completed in the shortest possible time I have disciplined myself to a short session each day.

There are no time pressures to complete the transcription so it is not a problem if you are unable to find time for a couple of days.
So I encourage people to think seriously about assisting with the project.
    David

    Hi David
many thanks for your response to my email. Your help with the FreeCen project is much appreciated. I am glad you have found the experience satisfying. I know even after all these years I still find the work fascinating giving a small glimpse into village, town life in the 19th century, with the bonus of finding out how your ancestors fitted into it.
The more volunteers we have working the quicker the information will become availabls so please contact me by message her for more information
    Bev
