Having a fascination with the families of soldiers I am grateful for The Army Children Archive https://www.archhistory.co.uk/taca/home.html and its associated site The Army Children of the First WW https://www.1914.org/projects/the-arm...d-war-project/
I am looking for any stories or architectural plans of family quarters in specific barracks during certain dates (or of course close approximations:
Should it be relevant - Quarters for NCO's in Wynberg, Warrant Officers in the latter two.
Wynberg 1912-1914
Fulwood (Preston) 1914-1919
Buttevant (Co Cork) 1919-1922

First, compliments of the season.
Cannot deliver in the detail you may wish but you can view old maps of the barracks here https://map.geohive.ie/mapviewer.html
It should deliver a map of Ireland and you can find Buttevant by placing the cursor in the North of Cork area and double clicking to zoom (look for north of Mallow) until a plan of the barracks at Buttevant appears. When on screen, click on "Base Information & Mapping". Then click on "Historic Map 25 inch (1888-1913)".
I cannot deliver a URL for that specific map. However, once you find the 1888-1913 map you can select from the rest of the list for alternative views - none of which deliver the detail/period you require."dyfal donc a dyr y garreg"

And a most joyous time to you as well!
Thanks - Perhaps not exact but close and fascinating nonetheless.

That's a great resource - the map shows the married quarters outside the wire and on a sentimental note, the hospital in which my aunt was born.
