Default Removal of old 'free access offer' posts

As you are all (hopefully) aware we now have a specific forum for free access to subscription sites, and once an offer has expired we delete posts associated with that offer.

In the preceding years, such offers were posted in various forums, and have been left there, serving no useful purpose.

Therefore, over the next few weeks there's going to be a bit of spring-cleaning (decide for yourself whether it's late for 2018 or early for 2019 ) and those old posts will be deleted.
Also being deleted are posts which say something along the lines of 'The National Archives will be closed on xx date' or 'There's a FHS Fair on yy date'.

Depending in which forum you made such posts and how often you made such posts, you may find that your post count has gone down slightly.

The removal refers only to posts referencing expired free access to subscription sites or old events.

Most of the 'offers' were posted in 'Useful online sources' or 'Useful infomation and tips' (both found in the Family History main forum) and it's surprising how many of the titles of threads that are now left in those sections made me think 'I need to check that out later'.
There's always stuff which might not have been relevant to your research five years ago, but which is now.

Could there be a sticky that summarises sites' regular free periods, e.g. Ancestry and FMP usually do something around Remembrance weekend. This may avoid people taking out a month's sub or buying credits only to find they could have got it all free the following week. A rolling list of what happened in the last 12 months might suffice. Likewise when FHS fairs are usually held in particular places.

Obviously, there need to be warnings about "They may not do this every year" and "Watch out for one-off celebrations like centenaries".
