Default WESTWOOD, Thomas (London) m Alice Ada - WW1

Mis-filed in the MAR section of the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

No papers referring to his service - all are dated after his death (probably in 1916):
Thomas WESTWOOD, home address Balham, London, served as Private 4625 London Regt.
Married to ALICE ADA, who re-married Frederick W GUY in 1917 & moved to KINGSTON.
    No children.
    Parents: Henry & Sarah
    Brothers: Henry/Harry, Joe & Charlie
Sisters: Carrie, Emma, Lena(?) & Edith.
His widow was very upset in December 1916 when she was waiting for his effects to be sent and answered the door to a Police Sergeant with a warrant for her husband's arrest for being absent ...

Findmypast has his service record. He attested on 11th September 1915 and, after service in France, died of wounds at Rouen 7th October 1916. Born approximately June 1882.

There are also records of his medal entitlement, listing on the Soldiers Died In The Great War Register and CWGC grave at St Sever Cemetery in Rouen.
