    Default (jean)annan & david anderson family tree

    getting further with the annan/Anderson Scotland information seems harder when u have to go back further 1850 earliest I seem to be able to go.annan family were mostly in the jute weaving industry? is it hard going back further
    nanny was born 1908 jane Melville annan
    grandpa born 1908
    married 1935 I think

    Have you looked at the collection of information on what you can find where on the General Scottish forum HERE? Finding people does get harder before 1855, when BMDs started, but that's the same for most countries.

    Anyway, from the dates in your message, you are still in the 20th century. Remember that when you get that far, an 1855 death certificate can take you back to the late 1700s if you're lucky.

    Since the people you mention have already been mentioned in an earlier thread HERE, I am closing this thread. Any answers or further questions about them should be added to the other thread to prevent people from wasting their time by looking for information that has already been added to another thread.
