Thank you much! And apologies, but now I am super confused lol. Is this the same Sarah as the one listed above? Who did she marry in 1875? I'm really sorry, all the records throw me off sometimes. I think we might be on to something. I'm trying to piece it together...

No, not the same Sarah who is mother of George Q R Spicer. This Sarah, is the daughter of Sarah (above) and sister of George Q R Spicer. The link to the 1881 census has Sarah Tetjik, married, her children, and George Q H (misread R) Spicer who is listed as brother in law, I presume brother in law to Mr Tetjik who is absent on census night. I think I have that right, if not Dundee will correct me

Oh I see! I think the two Sarahs were confusing me. Thank you for explaining it. Unless Dundee explains it different

This helps, I can do some digging around and see if anything else comes up, maybe more of Sarah's children, etc.

Sarah Snr. with her older children here in 1861, including daughter Sarah:

She is a Mariner's wife and husband John still not at home.

I don't think she would have been the mother of Elvon, she was already in her mid 40s by 1871, but I wouldn't discount some relationship between the two families.

I suspect that Sarah HEELAS's mother also had the maiden surname SPICER. Joseph HEELAS married Mary SPICER in 1810 and Sarah HEELAS was baptised at Kensington in 1825. Joseph was a Carpenter.

Thank you for this information. Yes, maybe Sarah is not Elvon's mother but maybe John is his father?
And Sarah HEELA's mother also having the maiden surname Spicer as in a coincidence, correct?
