Default what does this mean on 1939 register?

Does anyone know what DSA means on the 1939 register? A lady had given the wrong year of birth and it was corrected in 1947 to a birth date that agrees with her baptism record and following the correction it says DSA.

    thank you

Sue, as always, giving us the person's details which allows us to look at the actual image is much better than asking us to possibly make a random guess at what something means.

Ummm, could it be the code for Berkshire as used for the 1939 register? See here
    Was she born in Berkshire.

My first thought was they are the initials of the annotator, but after thinking more logically (I can sometimes apply logic ), I agree with Christina i.e. a place name code.

I must be cracking up. I can't see that record.

Peter, if you're searching on FMP, just search for Mary Taylor, living in Loughborough. There's no birthdate against her record, possibly because of the other date given.
Ancestry does give the 1874 birthdate, but again I searched on just name and place without any problems.

Thank you all...my first thought was the D.S.A. was a government department and that there may have been an issue with her pension and her incorrect dob was spotted. There is a connection to Berkshire though, her previous husband was born and maybe died in Wokingham.

Funnily enough, that was exactly my thinking.
I've been desperately trying to think what was name of the department/agency that dealt with additional help to people who were short of enough money to live on. I have a feeling that in the mid-sixties it was called Social Security, but can't remember for sure.

I wouldn't bother. Back in those days "Departments" were generally (always?) "Ministries" so the initials of the body would start with "M". Ministry of Pensions, Ministry of National Insurance etc etc.
