William George Staton - English censuses

A certain William Staton was instrumental in forming a local football club in Egersund, Norway, where I live. He was emloyed as an engraver at a pottery in Egersund, and the Norway census of 1910 suggests he was born in London on the 20th November 1879. Other sources say he had a middle name George, but that is about all I know about him.

I am about to write a history of football in Egersund, and would love to know more about Mr. Staton. And maybe even trace his movements after he went back to England some time around the outbreak of WW1.

Is there any one with access to English censuses willing to help me?

Not having much luck finding him but have found him and I presume his family in the following

London, England, Electoral Registers, at 10 Capland House, Westminster, St. Marylebone
for years 1935, 36, 37, 38, and 39

Also with him are Arthur, Arthur William Leonard, Grace Ivy (Miss) and Winifred Elizabeth.

1937 Winifred Elizabeth is not there so presumed she has died.

Sorry wrong family Arthur Staten married Winifred Elizabeth Stower and the children including William George born 1913 are their's

In the 1901 Staffordshire Census I have found one George William Staton, born in 1884, working as engrocer at Pottery. However, I don't have access to the full record at ukcensusonline.com.

Different year of birth compared to the 1910 Norway census, but otherwise his profession, and living in Staffordshire makes sense.

Will the full record also state place of birth?

The George William Staton you have found seems to have gone to America and worked for the Carr China Company in Grafton, from census records on Family Search. Googling brought me to Carr China's site which has a profile of George and a photograph - and looks very like the man in your photo! Am on my phone but will try and add a link.
