    Found in an old photo album...Any help in identifying the regiment and rank would be appreciated.

    I have seen a helmet that looks very similar to the one in the picture for the WW1 West Indian Regiment

    The badge on his right sleeve looks like that of a Warrant Officer, but it's not too clear to be certain.

    I was thinking that. The pith helmet was part of the tropical uniform at the end of the 19th century and up to WW1. As far as I know, the main way to tell most regiments apart when wearing KD was the design of the buttons...

    Thanks very much. Well spotted. If he's a warrant officer, I think it must the uniform of the (Royal) Army Service Corps. He was stationed for a long time in Gibraltar.
