Where were they living in 1881? What are given as their birthplaces in 1881 and subsequent censuses? Were they minors who may have eloped?
Have you checked the index at Scotlandspeople? You have to register but can search for free, only paying to access images/full records.

If they married in England or Wales the marriage should show up on the complete GRO Index available on FMP and Ancestry (as opposed to the mainly complete but still-a-work-progress FreeBMD). However, it's not unknown for the Index to contain errors, such as different registration districts or page numbers. Can you find a Walter Boyle or a Sarah Goldie marrying anywhere March quarter 1880?

And finally, on a scale of one to ten, how reliable is your source, and/or how would such a date fit into the rest of the family history? e.g. quite probable because their first child was born June quarter 1881.

If Sarah was born in Scotland, or living there in 1871 (you haven't said her birthplace) then the chances are it was a Scottish wedding and you want Scotlandspeople.

Walter Boyle married Sarah Goldie in 1880 in the Canongate (an area of Edinburgh).
I can't get any further on Scotlands People without spending my own credits, but you can buy a copy of the certificate, which will give you their names, occupations and both sets of parents. It's not at all expensive, especially when compared with some of the commercial companies. If you open a (free) account with them, you can use the indexes for free.

My notes on using SP, if you want them, are at the top of the General Scottish Forum HERE. Some of the others contain other ideas for searching scottish data.
