    Hi Chrissie
I had a look at the free search of the 1911 census on Scotland's people as Lesley advised you in post #29. Does this sound like your family in Dunfermline? All with reference 424/19/3.

To see the full record you will have to register and buy a few credits as Lesley suggested.

Robert's birth certificate should be available on Scotlands People.

To find more about your Dad's siblings you will need to go to Scotland's People and buy some credits.
Some records which might be worth checking (though are not necessarily your family).
Death Alexander Johnstone age 95, Dunfermline 1963
Death David Johnstone age 84Dunfermline 1973
Death James Watson Johnstone age 73 Dunfermline 1965
    Marriage Isabella Johnstone 1900
