Hello
Im Bill Willcox, originally from Liverpool but reside in Melbourne after 25 years in Asia. We have alot of family connections to The Ormskirk, Crosby, North Meols, Huyton, Childwall, and other areas of Lancashire and are related to many of the oldest names who our direct ancestors, such as:

Travers
Prescott
Watkinson
Norman
Whitaker
Brekill/Breakell/Breicall

Halsall
Hallwood
Woosie/Woosey
Chadocke

We have an extensive tree with alot of these names going back into the 1500's and some earlier. It is our Pilkington lineage we are interested in at present, but would love to hear from others who carry the names that are listed above.
Our Pilkington lineage starts as follows:
Benjamin Willcox b 1840 Almondsbury, Gloucxestershire married Amelia Dorothy Pilkington b 1848 Liverpool, Lancashire. Parents of Amelia are :
Thomas Pilkington b 1816 in Aughton, Ormskirk married to Elizabeth Sutton b abt 1819 Childwall, Liverpool. Thomas parents:
Thomas Pilkington b 1789 Aughton, Ormskirk married Dorothy Sutton b 1790 Maghull, Liverpool. Thomas Parents are:
William Pilkington b 1734 Aughton, Ormskirk married Mary Webster b 1733 Aughton, Ormskirk. Williams parents are:
Robert Pilkington b 1689/90 of Eccleston, Chorley married to Deborah Pierson b 1691 Eccleston, Chorley. Roberts parents are:
Ralph Pilkington b 1663 Leyland, Lancashire married Ann Whitaker b 1668. Ralph parents are:
John Pilkington 1634/35 Chorley, Lancashire married to Not Kown Wife. Johns parents are:
Allexander Pilkington b about 1614 Chorley married to Margaret Heald ?. Allexandderrs parents are:
Thurstane Pilkington b about 1590 Chorley married No Known Wife
We think Thurstanes father is Richard Pilkington et 1561 and his father Thomas Pilkington est 1536 but we need this confirming. If you have any information on our line that could shed more light onto which early branch we link to would be of great help. We will share what we have with others linked to The Pilkington Line.
Looking forward to hopefully find some connections here
Best Wishes
Bill Willcox

Hello Bill,
Welcome to British-Genealogy.
That's quite an impressive list of ancestors - most of my trees stop about 1750. Though I could probably equal you with a list of names, sadly most of them being 'a work in progress'.
I can't find any trace of the Maurice you were asking about being deceased so I've removed that part of your query as our T&Cs do not allow details of living people to be posted. If you can assure us that he is deceased then you may post his details again, though not those of his wife (if she is still living) nor his living children.
Brit-Gen is mainly for helping people trace their ancestors rather than connecting cousins, but we do have many instances where people have written (often several years later) to say 'Hi, we're related'. An excellent site to help you find other relatives is Lost Cousins (any self-respecting search engine will find it without any problem).
