    Good spot, Alma.

And as in 1851 the family are living in MIckleton, Shipston on Stour, I reckon Megan's find of

    HALL, ROBERT 20

is a strong possibility for Robert's death.

Bingo! Burial St Lawrence, Mickleton, 28 February 1850, Robert Hall, aged 20.

Audrey, you should order that death certificate just for confirmation, as that burial record is a transcription only. Certificate will cost you six quid for a PDF version from the GRO. https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
Just make sure you click the PDF copy.

Thank you ladies! What would I do without you ……………….

I will order the PDF now that I am as certain as I can be. Where did you see the burial record please?

Oooh, I think I'll have a glass of wine and you all deserve one too. I'll let you know when the PDF turns up.

I found the burial transcription on FMP.
Have now found the parish register image on Ancestry. No further details except that it says his abode is Mickleton.

I now have the death certificate for Robert Hall in 1850 in Shipston on Stour in Gloucestershire and it is my man!

The certificate confirms he died on 21st February 1850 aged 20 years old of consumption. This gives me quite a bit to think about. When he married Martha in 1849 he said he was 21 and she was 20 so that was clearly a bit of a fib - as I suspected.

Was Robert already ill when they married on 26th December 1849 and would living/working in Abersychan have been where he caught TB? Mining, miners??

Robert's father seems to have been present at the death and reported it on 28th March 1850. Robert was buried on 28th February 1850 so I'm wondering if the death certificate date is an error?

I'm guessing Robert and Martha moved from Monmouth to Shipston-on-Stour when Robert became ill so that they could be nearer his family.

The death certificate has, as ever, answered some questions and raised a whole lot more.
