    Sandyhall,
    I think there's a glitch in FMP.
Searching Civil Marriages for "Samuel Smith, 1880, Taunton" FMP tells me "3 hits" but only returns 1 record on the index screen (the Salter marriage).
If I search for "Samuel Smith, 1880, Taunton, spouse's surname Glover", FMP tells me "No results found."

I hadn't searched under "Elizabeth Glover, 1880, Taunton" but doing so now, it returns 1 record "Elizabeth Ann Glover, 1880, Mar Qtr, Taunton". But it does not include groom's name.

    Thanks for the confirmation

Thank you for all the help the 1861 census that has been found is really interesting. I think my Samuel isn’t the boy aged 6 but the grandson aged 0. I have a birth certificate for a Samuel Smith born 15 th April 1860 at the Union Workhouse in Bridgewater. His mother was Elizabeth Smith, his father is unknown.
