    Default Lone Yorkie

    Hello,

I have been researching my family tree for a number of years. I soon found out that i am the only member of my family line that was born in Yorkshire. My paternal connections are well rooted in the agricultural communities of Egerton Kent. The maternal side are once again agricultural but this time in the Uckfield area of East Sussex. My Grandparents met in the Lewis area and arrived in Yorkshire via Wiltshire and Derbyshire. My grandfathers occupation was a gamekeeper.

    Many thanks.

A warm welcome to British Genealogy. I bet you are not a lone Yorkie on here! Have a good look round, and then post on the relevant forum when you are ready.

Many thanks for the welcome. You may think that my father now resident and working in Yorkshire that he would marry a Yorkshire lass. No such thing he goes to Sussex and marries my mother. However their respective mothers are half sisters. So the lone Yorkie has only one great grandmother.
