I have just noticed that Robert Perris Junior is not on that census list of 1881 - were Julia and Robert TWINS ?? baptised same day ?

Seems BALL was her middle name (could be her mother's maiden name), more searching may tell us.

Parish Church St Helens, Feb 23rd 1854
Robert Perris, age 24, book keeper, St Helens, father John Perris a librarian
Martha Ball Birchall, age 24, Eggleston (Eccleston!!?), father William Birchall a (unclear, I think it says 'veterinary surgeon')

Although my Cocking relatives are not in Cornwall I would be interested in contacting anyone who has researched the name. My Cocking(s) ancestor is said to come from Derbyshire although married in Prestwich in Manchester.

    Hi Neil
I have an ancestor called Elizabeth Cocking(s) who married in Prestwich Manchester but says that she was born in Derbyshire on the census entries. She is a significant brick wall for me so I would be interested in contacting someone who has researched the name.
