Victory Medal WW1 ID

Hi

I have WW1 Victory Medal with the following details on the side:

33392.1.A.M C BRIGHAM RAF

I can't seem to find out any information about Brigham - can anyone help?

Hello londonwelsh, welcome to Brit-Gen.

There are no likely candidates with the name BRIGHAM but there are some records on Findmypast for a Christopher Shillito BINGHAM, service number 33392. He joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1916 and the Royal Air Force in 1918 as a clerk. There are details of his service, his marriage and a child. His age gives a birth year of 1884/5, which matches the following birth:

BINGHAM Christopher Shillito 1884 Dec Qtr Greenwich Vol 01D Page 1052 mother's maiden name PITTS.

On the 1911 Census he is living with his parents in Deptford, as an insurance clerk.

He appears on the 1939 Register living in Oxford with his wife. Interestingly, his surname is transcribed as BRIGHAM, amended to BINGHAM.
