    Default Hello everyone

I have been an off and on member of Ancestry.com for several years, have taken their DNA test and generally been fascinated where the numerous trails take me. But with the information from the likes of Ancestry.com, as fascinating as it is, there is always a question mark over its accuracy. My "authenticated" records can only take me back (to Ireland) to 1790 but I remain hopeful that the DNA test will, eventually, confirm some of the other links as being true. I have an ongoing issue with not being able to understand information in German, so perhaps a whole hunting ground of information is blocked off. But, we will continue the search for those missing links.

Hallo Tony, and a warm welcome to British Genealogy. Irish research is problematical, but we do have some knowledgeable members living in Ireland who might be able to give you some pointers.
