Have you found Eva in the 1891/1901 census and therefore have an idea of her age and birthplace?
If so, search for her in 1911 using those details first for an Eva Ashdown, and then for an Eva Kent.

If there are children you could double-check using the GRO's historical births index.
    https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
Alternatively, check the historical births first, using just the Ashdown or Kent surname, and Purnell as the mother's maiden name.
Just be aware that often there can be more than one Ashdown/Purnell or Kent/Purnell marriage.

Thanks for the replies, I had searched the 1911 Census for all of them but nothing came up, I was using the Genealogist so perhaps they were missing on there, very grateful to you both.
