    Default Pollard in Cornwall

I have an Edward POLLARD who married Ann Lightfoot, at Lansallos, Cornwall, on December 10th 1826.
I have been trying, for ages, to gather information about the accestry of both of them. Some help will be greatly appreciated

Have you found him in the 1841or 1851 census?

    Hello Whitehawk,

    Welcome to British-Genealogy.

I found this family in 1851 which looks from Ann's birthplace as it might be yours, though if the census ages are correct it would mean Edward and Ann were very young when they married.

    Censys reference HO107/1903 folio 44 page 21
Village of Church Bridge, parish of Duloe
Edward Pollard, head, 46, ag lab, born Duloe
    Ann, wife, 42, Lansallos
    Mary, daur, 11
    Joseph, son, 9
    Samuel, son, 7
    Thomas, son, 5
    James, son, 2
    All children born Duloe.

I've checked Cornwall Online Parish Clerks, https://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/home/
and the baptism registers for Lansallos between 1773 and 1812 have not been transcribed. Similar dates apply to burials. As baptisms and burials for those years were written in the same register it's probable that either the register is missing or in such a poor state that it can't be filmed. I expect that the Cornwall OPC will be able to confirm if registers for those years exist, and are therefore just awaiting transcription.

Yes. I did research the censuses, the parish website, findmypast and Family Search but cannot find any reference to Edward's and Ann's ancestry. I did, a few weeks ago see something on the net about Ann's parents but have since 'lost' my note of the relevant URL.
Thank you for your time and interest

    Yes, I have tried census.
Thanks to all who have responded
I had the forlorn hope that somebody, somewhere, might have inherited an old Bible
I hope this 'multiple' thanks is acceptable. I'm 1927 vintage and a mite slower at picking up protocol.
I am impressed by the immediate replies and willingness to assist.
