Attested 31 May 1916, declared age 36y 192d, date of birth 11 Nov 1879. There is no GRO record of this birth, under either surname. His de-mob Protection Certificate (in the name of SCHUSTER) states born 1876 - again, no record (although he may have not been born in England/Wales).

Looking at Bessie Anne;s probate it looks as if Ernest and family kept the Clatworthy name
Bessie Annie 31 Graces Rd died 23 September 1965 probate to Gustav Emil Clatworthy Master baker and Albert Ernest Clatworthy Bookbinder. 4800 pounds
