    Default 1871 wales cencus

Hi all I’m looking for the 1871 wales cencus for a Patrick Donovan born abt 1834 in Ireland. His wife Catherine Donovan formerly ( Mcgrath ). They were married in 1859 in Newport wales. They had a daughter Margaret Born 1861 in Newport wales and a son Thomas Donovan born 1866 also in Newport wales. I assum they still live in wales at this time as Margaret shows up in 1881 cencus married to a Thomas Lynch and her bother Thomas in lodging with them in Newport Wales. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers chris

Hi Megan thanks very much for your help. I’ve checked the record and it has Patrick, Catherine and Thomas but no margaret. She would have been about 10. Where do you think she could be?

Do you know if she was alive?

If she was alive she could have been visiting friends or relatives.

Margaret is with her McGRATH grandparents. The written surname looks to me like DENNOVAN.
