I have moved your post from Family History Societies to the Scottish forum, where it seems more appropriate. You might like to read the various 'sticky' threads at the top of this forum.

Did you buy their marriage record from ScotlandsPeople? It is a little hit and miss with the information it may have though so may or may not help with going further back.

Just what information are you wanting. Is it your public tree on ancestry for this family?

Hi Christanel (haven't typed your real name in case this message is public).

I have those birth dates, but it is kind of you to have searched. I think their father, William, might be the William born Dundee, 06 June, 1787 to William Baxter and Margaret Small. But I haven't been able to verify that.

From the 1807 marriage all of the descendants have been verified. I need to break "the brick wall' before 1800.

    Regards.

    Hi
So do you have the parish register entry for William and Margaret's marriage which you can download from ScotlandsPeople for a small fee?
