I've seen both spellings of Wolf, I believe the 'e' was dropped upon arrival in the states.

Well I've just double-checked (searched George, 1852) and even though I spelt it Wolfe, it came up straightaway, with George Woulfe of Milleenagunm, so I don't know what you're doing wrong, unless it's failing to click on the result. I presume you're searching church records.

The index basically says what I transcribed re names, but also includes parish and date.
