Birth certificate problem

Good morning,

Currently on the unclaimed estate list is a gentleman named Kenneth Arscott born 5-12-1933 in England. The information provided by the BVD states the birth certificate displays the parents.

I have carried out searches for this birth certificate but have not returned a positive result.

Can anyone do any better please and tell me where I went wrong ?

Births have to be registered within 3 months of them occurring. Therefore a birth which happened in the December of 1933 could have been registered in 1934.

Equally it is possible that someone has got his date of birth wrong either on the death certificate or somewhere else. The closest match to your information for a birth registration is in the January quarter of 1932, suggesting that they could have been born at the end of 1931.

The only info I could find is his death in 1995.

May be you should get a copy of this and not rely on the unclaimed estate list.

I presume BVD is some reference to Bona Vacantia, but a similar (associated?) site gives a different birthdate, plus an additional possible birthdate, so take your pick.

Can't see Kenneth on the 1939 Register, nor an Isabella Arscott. (Allegedly his mother.)

The information in the link provided by Pam states ".....also known as Kenneth Douglas Arscott"

The parents named in that item were married in Toxteth Park in 1921.

Peter's good find at #6 prompted me to look at IOM BMD's. I found this death, but nothing for Isabella.
