Not your morning is it? Want to go back to bed, then try getting up again?

Henry Adams Newton was a baptist minister by profession (and Elizabeth's family were all baptists), so I guess I'm a little bit surprised if the marriage was in a C of E church.

Parish Records for Holy Trinity, Seers Green are at Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies in Aylesbury, they have not been filmed. Centre has restricted opening hours and charges £5 + £2 postage for copies/transcriptions. More info at:-
https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/services/...shire-studies/
Edit: Just seen your post about being Baptists. Centre also has records for non-conformist churches.

You could try being cheeky when you contact the GRO to advise them of the error. Tell them that you've been told that the marriage was at Seer Green Holy Trinity, but as the groom as was Baptist minister and Elizabeth's family were all Baptists you find this a little strange, so would they be able to advise if Seer Green was correct? The worse that can happen is that they'll tell you to buy the certificate.
Alternatively, have you tried looking for a newspaper announcement?

Looking on G** gle Maps The Registrar's Office appears to be adjacent to the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies.

#15 - yes I have tried newspapers without success (there's plenty about Henry's funeral in 1933 though)
forgive my dimness - when you said that 942A locates to Holy Trinity, Seer Green, would that mean Holy Trinity church itself or the parish of Holy Trinity - which might happen to contain a baptist chapel (if you see what I mean)

it looks as if one can check if an entry is in a particular register or not (if I've understood correctly). Unfortunately it requires Microsoft Excell to view.
