Really need help in finding information on my Grandad Bill, as I've just inherited his service medals(Africa star,Italy star,39-45 star,Defence medal and War medal 39-45)and a great picture/etching in full uniform. Born 1916 Glasgow he went on to be Colour Sergeant Scots Guards and after WW2 was moved to Preston where he was a Recruitment Officer where he met my Nan. If anyone could help/guide me in any way possible it would be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance

Scotlands People shows 15 William Robertsons born Glasgow in 1916. Do you have any other info - did he have a middle name, for example? What was your Grandmother's name?
