    This thread should be read in conjuction with the earlier threads on Barnett Crawcour- Fanny Alexander and Arthur Kitson-Fannie Ernestina Aschenbach.
    Rebecda Crawcour and Frederick Aschenbach were the parents of Fannie Ernestina Aschenbach who was to marry and divorce Arthur Kitson as previously posted on.

    Rebecca appears in the Old Bailey online trials as a victim of theft in 1854.
    The Police Courts Daily News Monday April 24 1854
    " Miss Rebecca Crawcour, a young lady, who resides in Gravesend...I was in an omnibus in Cheapside coming from the west -end yesterday.The prisoner was in the omnibus when I got in..My purse was porte-monnaie..it contained four sovereigns, a five shilling piece..."
    The accused was found guilty of robbery.
    Rebecca had left the UK post 1854 and had married Frederick Aschenbach.

    On the death of Rebecca, Frederick re-married to a widow Katherine Emma "Kate" Eastburn b 6 Jan 1858 Germantown Philadelphia died 4 July 1932 Germantown. She had married Dunning Foster Thornton 1855-1881 and they had two sons Dunning Foster Thornton 1878-1902 and Edward Eastburn Thornton 1880-1928. Katherine was the daughter of Edward Eastburn and Elizabeth Keyser Nice.

    Frederick druggist died 26 March 1906 and in his will he made requests and bequests:
    He gave his Mt Moriah Cemetery Burial plot to his brother in law Justus HAHN; his burial plot at Ivy Hill Cemetery in which his first wife Rebecca was buried he gave to his daughter Fannie E KITSON and to his wife Katherine the burial plot where his step son John F T Thornton was buried. He requested that he was buried with his wife Katherine. He left his house and lot 309 West School Lane Germanstown to his wife and one third of his net income/dividends to his daughter Fannie during her life.

    A US Passport Application for Frederick and Katherine aka Catherine shows:
    Frederick Aschenbach born Zillbach Germany 17 August 1837 emigrated to US from Bremen 1 of -1847; 53 years in US from 1847-1904 Naturalised Philadelphia 1 Sept 1860 Druggist. Catherine b Germantown 6 Jan 1868. Frederick age 67- there is a physical description of Frederick with height 5' 7".
