Well done. It has to be him as his father is indexed by Ancestry, from marriage cert, as Martin Stally Howlett. Though I've no idea where MARK comes from.
Name: Mark Martin Rose Howlett

Martin Howlett wasn't necessarily sent to Australia as a convict. He may have left his wife to try his luck out there or she could have left him to take up with Henry and he went to Australia to start a new life. I can't find a shipping record for him as yet. Someone in Australia knew him well because they knew the unusual middle name of his father. or of course he may have been in hospital prior to his death and given them his details. His death certificate would give the informants name.
