there's a current article on the BBC website about a lady in Australia trying to contact relations of a wartime colleague of hers who died in April 1945. Obviously I'm not intending to name any living relatives here but I was just attempting to work out who the deceased lady's parents were.
We are told that Margaret Walsh was 33 when she died in April 1945 and was from Hove and "it is believed" her parents were Major Patrick Walsh and Mary Margaret Walsh.
Going by Margaret's 1945 probate and the 1939 register I would say Patrick was born in 1872 and his wife's maiden name was Anning. Do you agree ?

actually I was thinking Margaret V was a sibling of the person concerned. Its slightly confusing in that mother was Mary Margaret or Margaret Mary and I think the lady we are talking about was also Margaret Mary or Mary Margaret. If she was 33 in 1945 that would be d.o.b. 1912.

Patrick is clearly alive on the 1939 register but his daughter's 1945 probate is granted to her widowed mother.

I think Albert J was Albert John and I'm fairly sure he died in 1968.

1939 Patrick and wife in Hove, Sussex. Patrick's wife born 1887. The address on the 1939 register agrees with the address on the 1945 probate.
