I'm just trying to find out if I can find proof that my father was either at home or away during the time this child was conceived, I just have doubts in my mind after seeing his army book which was filled in by my father in 1953 , the year he left the army. I realise he may have altered the dates to erase the time he came back home! I probably won't find the truth out.
We have been left money by a distant relative and this persons birth was found by a heir hunter.

We are not legal experts, I’m afraid.
Me, I’d demand DNA evidence, but that’s a personal view.

Hi I am not looking for legal advice , I was just wandering if the official army records would be accurate enough to tell me if my father was on leave for the first 5 months of 1943, according to his personal records my father was away on active duty.
I think I will have to have a try with the £30 search of records.
Thanks for your input.
