Default 424th Labour Battalion Worcester Regiment

    Hi
I’ve recently been trying to trace my grandads family tree which has proved difficult until my family stumbled across his birth certificate.
It’s mentions that my great grandad was in the 424th labour battalion Worcester Regiment. Yet I can’t seem to find any information on that battalion.
Would anyone be a to point me in right direction.
    Many thanks
    Bren

    hi Bren
a couple of idea's , see if you can get a copy of this book , The Naval & Military Press has re-published The Worcestershire Regiment in The Great War .
also the full title of the regiment could be : 424th Agricultural Company Labour Corps , there HQ was in Worcester , the Agri. Coy. tended to be mainly of men from the local area .
If you put his details on here , others might have more info for you .

    Hope that helps

Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums Bren
If you came to us from Forces War Records reading this will tell you a little about us.
As Dean says if you give us the details of your grandfather our sleuths may be able to help you/ Our sleuths like a challenge. His full name, date and place of birth, parents names, brother's/sisters. Anything at all that you know will help.
All the details from your grandad's birth certificate would be great.
